The challenge and the shift

Why traditional leadership training falls short

Most leadership programs deliver information without transformation. We designed ours to close that gap.

What we see too often

  • Generic workshops that ignore your industry context and organizational culture
  • One-size-fits-all content that fails to address individual growth edges
  • Participants return to work and revert to old habits within weeks
  • No measurable link between training spend and business outcomes
  • Senior leaders disengaged because the material feels beneath their experience level

How we do things differently

  • Diagnostic-first design tailored to your team's actual dynamics and strategic priorities
  • Cohort-based learning with peer accountability built into every module
  • Embedded coaching between sessions to reinforce new behaviours on the job
  • Clear success metrics agreed upon before we begin, tracked throughout
  • Senior-level facilitators who have led organizations themselves
Our process

Four phases from insight to lasting change

Every engagement follows a deliberate arc that moves participants from awareness through to sustained practice.

Discover

We conduct stakeholder interviews, 360-degree assessments, and cultural diagnostics to understand your leadership landscape before designing anything.

Design

We build a custom curriculum that maps directly to your strategic objectives, blending experiential exercises with frameworks participants can apply immediately.

Deliver

Facilitated sessions combine group learning with individual coaching. Between modules, participants complete real-world application projects tied to business challenges.

Sustain

Post-program support includes follow-up coaching, peer learning circles, and quarterly check-ins to ensure new leadership habits take root permanently.

What we offer

Programs shaped around how leaders actually grow

Each offering can stand alone or be woven into a multi-phase engagement that builds capability over time.

Executive coaching

One-on-one engagements for senior leaders navigating transitions, building influence, or preparing for expanded scope. Sessions are confidential, structured around clear goals, and typically run over six to twelve months.

Team leadership intensives

Two-to-five-day immersive programs that accelerate team alignment, strengthen decision-making under pressure, and build the trust required for high-stakes collaboration. Ideal for newly formed or restructured leadership teams.

Emerging leader accelerator

A six-month cohort program for high-potential managers stepping into senior roles. Participants develop strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead through ambiguity while building a peer network they can rely on for years.

Organizational culture advisory

We help leadership teams diagnose cultural friction points, align espoused values with lived experience, and design rituals and systems that reinforce the culture they want. This work often accompanies mergers, rapid growth, or strategic pivots.

Who leads the work

Practitioner-led, not theory-driven

Senior leadership development facilitator portrait

Dr. Nathalie Renaud

Founder and principal facilitator

Nathalie spent seventeen years in executive roles across financial services and healthcare before founding Leadership Futures. She holds a doctorate in organizational behaviour from McGill University and is a certified professional coach through the International Coaching Federation.

Her approach draws on adaptive leadership theory, systems thinking, and decades of first-hand experience navigating the tensions that come with leading complex organizations. She has facilitated programs for teams ranging from five to five hundred, across industries including technology, public sector, manufacturing, and professional services.

Every program she designs begins with a simple question: what does this organization need its leaders to do differently, and what stands in the way?

Common questions

What prospective clients ask us most

Most engagements run between three and twelve months, depending on scope. Executive coaching relationships tend toward the longer end, while team intensives can be completed in a single week. We always recommend a sustained approach because lasting behavioural change requires reinforcement over time, not just an inspiring few days.
Absolutely. While we are based in Montréal, we serve clients across Canada and have delivered programs in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, and Ottawa. We offer both in-person and hybrid formats, and our virtual programs are designed to be genuinely interactive rather than passive webinars.
We do not sell pre-packaged courses. Every program begins with a diagnostic phase where we understand your strategic context, team dynamics, and the specific leadership gaps you need to close. Our facilitators have all held senior leadership roles themselves, which means they bring credibility and practical wisdom that participants respect. We also embed coaching between sessions so that learning transfers to daily work.
Before we begin, we agree on success metrics with your team. These might include 360-degree feedback scores, employee engagement survey results, retention rates among high-potential talent, or specific business outcomes tied to leadership capability. We conduct baseline measurements and follow up at three and six months post-program to track progress.
Yes. Our team is fully bilingual and we regularly deliver programs in both official languages. For organizations with bilingual teams, we can design sessions that accommodate both languages fluidly, which is especially important in Québec-based organizations where leadership conversations naturally shift between English and French.
